“Sing
for the honor of His name: make His praise glorious!” The purpose of the Northridge Worship Ministry is to serve. We serve God by ministering to Him with passionate worship. We serve the Church, His precious bride, by helping to facilitate their corporate expression of worship with songs of hope, healing, refreshing, and extravagant adoration. We serve the lost and the seeking by lifting up the name of Jesus so that all would be drawn to Him.
The music of Northridge is exciting, contemporary, and full of life! God has blessed our church family with many gifted musicians and vocalists. However, the most important member of our worship team is the congregation whose exuberance and love for God creates an atmosphere of praise where God’s presence abides and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifested.
At Northridge, we believe that all the arts can be used to glorify God. We have dance teams for adults and children that are under the direction of Mrs. Eleanor Mimbs. Technology can also add to our worship expression and our Technical Team uses the latest in audio, video, and lighting to enhance our environment of adoration. At Northridge, worship is a major part of everything we do. Therefore, in addition to the Sunday morning worship teams, we have trained worship bands to lead worship in other ministries within our church. Our youth praise band leads their generation in worship at the Wednesday night youth meetings. Our college band and singles worship band also lead for their respective ministry meetings. Worship leaders also lead in the many mid-week cell groups that our adults meet at. Our church is growing and our need for Worship Team members is also growing. If you would like more information on how you can be a part of this exciting ministry, please contact Pastor Tom at the church office or by e-mail: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . |
My
name is Tom Curley and I have had the privilege of being
the Worship Leader at Northridge Church since 1994. I first
began using my musical gifts to serve God in churches in
1976, and it has become my life’s passion to pursue
the presence of God through worship.
The
worship at Northridge is as diverse as the people that gather
here to honor God. The members of our church family have
come from many different cultural backgrounds, denominational
affiliations, and worship styles. Some people stand quietly
during our times of worship while others clap their hands
and shout for joy. Some people dance; some kneel; some weep;
but all are keenly aware that the God we worship primarily
sees our hearts when we are before Him.
